GoodHire now offers employment drug screening services to help companies build qualified workforces and safe teams.

Using GoodHire, customers can now run drug screens on potential job candidates or employees. The 5-panel test includes a urine analysis for amphetamines, phencyclidine, cocaine, opiates, and marijuana. With marijuana laws changing state by state, some employers may choose not to test for marijuana. For those employers, GoodHire also offers a 4-panel test. 

Drug screening is mandatory in order comply with state and federal regulations in some industries. Many companies choose to run drug tests on candidates and or employees because they believe it boosts productivity and security in the workplace.

GoodHire Employment Drug Screening is available as an add-on to any of our background check packages. Your company will need to have a written drug policy in place before running drug screens.

Drug screening results are normally returned to employers within 1-3 business days after the candidate completes the test.

How It Works:

  1. Select a GoodHire background check.
  2. Choose “Drug Screening” from the list of available add-ons.
  3. Enter the requested candidate or employee information.
  4. GoodHire will email the candidate or employee to request legal consent to run the test.
  5. The candidate or employee will receive an email to select test site for drug screen. Employers can also select the test site on the candidate’s behalf if they don’t have an email address.
  6. The candidate or employee will have to go in-person to the selected location to completed drug test. Candidates and employees have 21 days after they receive the email to visit the site and complete the test.
  7. Results are available in report within 1-3 business days.
